Pet insurance claim FAQ
What documentation do you need?
Submitting claims is hassle-free and smartphone-friendly! Simply snap a picture of your itemized accident or illness-related vet bill(s). Then, upload the photo(s) in the customer portal. Depending on the submission, we may also ask for previous medical records. Many pet parents receive reimbursement via Venmo or ACH direct deposit in a couple of days.
How do a deductible, coinsurance, and annual limit work?
Your deductible, coinsurance and annual limit are policy details that personalize your pet insurance to your needs and budget.
- Deductible: the amount you should expect to pay toward accidents and illnesses each year before Rainwalk starts reimbursing you, ranging $100 – $750.
- Coinsurance: Once you meet the annual deductible, your accident and illness vet bills are covered based on your coinsurance amount. Depending on your policy, we reimburse you for 70%, 80%, or 90% of vet bill costs.
- Annual limit: the maximum dollar amount that Rainwalk will pay back to you each year. Annual benefit limits range from $5,000 – $20,000.
Should I file a claim if I haven’t met my deductible?
